At the beginning of each month, I like to look back, and share what I wore the month prior, as I know how easy it is to get stuck in a rut. I look to fellow fashion bloggers and Instagram for outfit ideas on a regular basis. I hope though sharing what I wore, I can provide some daily inspiration, for you all as well.
Today, I am sharing my usual monthly recap of outfits, via my @AskSuzanneBell Instagram feed, with a focus on vests. Sweater, military inspired or quilted – in California, October is all about layering. The mornings can be cool, but the afternoons like summer. I found I grabbed my vests alot, for warmth and transition.
Today I’m only sharing transitional outfits, as much of my Octobers outfits, resembled August!

My favorite October Outfits?
This dress was in the bag, headed to the consignment shop, as I never wear it. Until, I realized this Boden bag was what I needed to pull it all together! Now, it’s a keeper – the perfect shift for work.
As you can see, my snow leopard Boden bag is injecting some life back into items already hanging in my closet. I love the fit of these jeans by AG. They are the ‘Beau’ jean (black coated), and are a slim boyfriend fit.

You own great vests!
And I love that Boden bag!!! Glad you kept the shift dress – it looks great on you!
Hi Andrea! I love vests, the perfect layering piece around here 🙂 Thank you for the compliment on the shift dress. It’s funny, I loved it when I bought it but just never wore it – guess I just didn’t have the right pieces to go with it. Now I love it. I guess it’s a good lesson. Now, when I buy something new, before I take off the tags – I make sure I have pieces to make it work. If not, do I want to invest in what I need to make it work (i.e.: accessories, jacket, shoes etc). I need to keep that in mind too, no matter what the price. Even if something is on sale, no bargain is a goo margin – if you never wear it! That Boden bag may be my favorite purchase this fall – it’s for sure the most worn one:)
Have a great evening! Suzanne
