Welcome to What I Wore This Week, where you’ll find a compilation of five summer outfits I wore over of the past week. Look, I certainly don’t have it all figured out, but I hope by sharing what I’ve pulled together, you’ll find some inspiration to create a few fresh new looks – a jumpstart to your own outfit planning. Most items are from pieces found in my closet, but if a piece is current or I find a similar version of what I’m wearing I will link it for you. For more looks and outfit ideas, visit the AskSuzanneBell.com What I Wore feature here on the blog, or link directly (HERE).
Saturday
To me, the best summer dresses are cotton, non-binding and allow for you to wear your favorite undergarments! There is so much to love about THIS tiered midi dress from ALC which is why it’s a favorite of mine! Summer accessories are so much fun to play with, are you covered?

Sunday
Come the weekend, one of my favorite things to do is to pack up my rolling shopping cart and spend Sunday morning with my family strolling the award-winning Mountain View Farmers’ Market ( read more on our local markets HERE). This week’s market coffee special? Iced Mint Mocha with freshly muddled mint leaves! Try it at home, it was so tasty and refreshing!

Monday
Do you find it difficult to decide what to wear for professional photos? This past Monday, my husband and I were scheduled for a team photo shoot for our Real Estate Business. Our company, Alain Pinel Realtors is now COMPASS (you can read up on the story in Compass Acquires Alain Pinel Realtors (HERE), so updated headshots were in order. That’s all fine and good, but our session was scheduled for NOON and it was 103 degrees outside – geez!
Style Tip: When taking professional photos, lean towards jewel tones and away from stripes, busy patterns or distracting details. It’s Ok to be fashionable, but remember the photo is about your face – not your outfit. I recommend bringing 2-3 extra tops in the event you are unsatisfied with your preview photo. Personally, I opt for a sheath style, as I find there are fewer opportunities for wardrobe malfunctions. I would not usually wear white for a headshot, but in this case, the photos were being shot outside with a green background. Stay tuned, if I like how they turned out, you’ll see a new look on our Real Estate Website, RickandSuzanneBell.com, coming soon!
Here I am, back at the house, before ripping off this now sweaty jumpsuit, and sliding into the lightest weight dress I could find!
PS this was the day our A/C went down as well! LOL!
Outfit Details: Joie Mairead Crop Jumpsuit in white, also available in Midnight | Nordstrom (HERE).
note: I did go up a size from my usual Joie size. For reference, I wear a small in Joie or a size 4. In this piece, I could not zip the size 4. As you can see the 6 is fitted, but an 8 would have been way too big. If ordering online, you may want to order a back up size to return, just in case. I also tried this jumpsuit on in the Midnight color and it is a gorgeous multi-season piece.
Wednesday
We’ve had some crazy heat this week and Wednesday was no exception. My son’s 8th-grade graduation took place, as most graduations do, out in the scorching late morning sun. I have worn this lightweight Tory Burch sundress on some of the hottest days while touring NYC last summer, and it is always cool and comfortable.
Outfit Details: Wrap Dress (last season Tory Burch) | Sandals, Miller Wedge on sale in gold at Zappos (HERE)
NOTE: I like this year’s version of the Miller Wedge better. WIth a wider strap, it is more comfortable IMO (HERE).
Thursday
Featured amongst AskSuzanneBell.com May Favorites was (THIS) orange halter maxi dress from H & M. I’m wearing a yellow bralette from Target underneath, but a strapless would work as well. At this price, this dress would be a wonderful swim cover-up! For more of my most recent H&M Summer Picks, visit May Favorites (HERE).

Great post Suzanne! I’m especially fond of yOur white dress. Lovely and cool! Like you!
Hi Andy! Thank you for stopping by! Are you referring to the white dressier look? Can you believe that is a jumpsuit? I’ve also tried it on in black and it is a stunning staple! I forgot to link it, so thank you for the reminder. I hope you have a fabulous weekend! xx Suzanne
Suzanne, these are all such cute looks for summer! The rust dress from H & M is a surprise–love it!
