Welcome to What I Wore This Week, where you’ll find a compilation outfits I wore over of the past week. Look, I certainly don’t have it all figured out, but I hope by sharing what I’ve pulled together, you’ll find some inspiration to create a few fresh new looks – a jumpstart to your own outfit planning. Most items are from pieces found in my closet, but if a piece is current or I find a similar version of what I’m wearing I will link it for you. If you have questions or comments, drop me a line in the comments section at the very bottom of this post. Have fabulous weekend friends!
One of my go-to uniforms for work is a long jacket or cardigan, over a pair of trousers. We can all use a black trouser, and this pair from ATM are a favorite; super comfortable and work back with just about anything. SIMILAR under $50 (HERE). The sleeveless jacket/vest is a recent purchase from the post-holiday sale over at Zara | SIMILAR (HERE). Red turtleneck is Rag and Bone | SIMILAR on SALE (HERE) | (HERE)
One of my favorite brands of denim right now is FRAME; for fit and comfort. And how fun is the unexpected pairing of mustard yellow, brown and lilac in this long cardigan? Booties are Paul Green. If you have never tried Paul Green shoes, do! They are so comfortable and well made! Similar on sale HERE | HERE | HERE. Browse all Paul Green (HERE).
I have a pair of jeans for just about any occasion: from date-night to picking a friend up from the airport. And nothing beats favorite jeans for running errands. With a higher waist, frayed hem and a broken-in look, this pair are called “THE STUNNER” from MOTHER jeans. View my exact pair (HERE) | SIMILAR (HERE). Cashmere Sweater | The Cashmere Sale. Floral mix media tunic (Thrifted from Anthropologie). My slip-on loafers are a knock-off version of the Gucci Princetown Loafer (HERE). Similar (HERE) | (HERE)
Some of you may recall this dress back from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, last July. So this is the first time I wore it, in part because I could not figure out what to wear over it, to break up the plaid print. It never occurred to me to pair it with camel, but I like how this turned out. Moral of the story, play with unexpected pieces in your closet – you have nothing to lose and everything to gain – and it will cost you nothing to experiment! If you are a medium, this dress is only $25 at Nordstrom Rack (HERE)or in plus size 1X, 2X, 3X (HERE) | Similar (HERE). Short boots are Aquatallia. The coat is Jenni Kayne (thrifted). Square Sunnies (my new fave!) | Kate Spade (HERE)
