What I'm Loving Now: June Favorites + Summer Sales

Last weekend we got a preview of sales to come, now it’s on! Whether you’re looking to replace a few items in your closet, pick up an investment piece or two, or elevate your summertime look – the time to shop is now! Anthropologie just added boatloads of Fresh Cuts to their already huge sale selection, with a bonus EXTRA 25% off ALL sale right now. While you’re browsing Anthro, please do a little sale dance for THIS dress or THIS jumpsuit! Add THESE slides, in any of the 11 available color ways, to any outfit and you’ll be weekend ready! My favorites? If I HAVE to pick, I’d say blue multi and silver! THIS DRESS (on promo), and THIS 70’s inspired BODYSUIT(on sale) from JCrew, is just what I need to elevate my summer denim look. I just picked up THESE pool slides in red at the Nordstrom Rack for under $30, and I have to say my jean look just got a bit more fun. If you are looking for a carefree sundress, THIS blue and white stripe number can be dressed up or down and is now under $50 (this dress appears to be sold out online, but I saw a few in my local Banana Republic store and was able to snag one up in my size). Last, I would love to add THIS tie front halter dress to my dress collection, available in navy print or black at Nordstrom.

My Favorite June Look

You may recall my review of THIS Tory Burch wrap dress a few months ago. Well now it is on super sale! Unable to live without it, I pulled the trigger on the Grotto Wrap Dress at full price, and I’m so happy I did! It packs perfectly for travel, doesn’t wrinkle, and can be worn for a variety of occasions. I’ve worn it with sneakers, flip flops, and wedges. Layered her with a white tee shirt, as well as with a denim jacket. I’ve styled her with bold gold jewelry to simple bangles and hoops, for totally different looks.

Summer Stylist Tips:

1. A Solution for Feet Slipping Forward in Heeled Sandals:

When someone is looking for a go-with-anything versatile summer sandal, I always recommend the Tory Burch Miller and TB Miller Wedge. HERE | HERE.

The Miller sandal is a no brainer, a ‘fits right out of the box’ kind of sandal. However, my Miller needed a little help from a half sole, to prevent my foot from slipping forward, see below.

These half soles from Pedeg (linked below in a 3 pack from Amazon.com) work wonders! I place them in all of my heeled sandals from extra cushion on the ball of my foot AND to prevent my feet from slipping forward as above.

2. A Solution for Strapless Tops and Dresses:

Is your off-the-shoulder top slipping around? Riding up on to your shoulders? What about your wrap dress, is it peeking open? My solution? Fashion Tape! Hollywood Fashion Tape comes in handy for many styling challenges, including off-the-shoulder tops. When I placed one strip of Fashion Tape on each shoulder, and another in the center (for extra security), my top stayed in place all day long!
