Last week the hubby and I made a quick getaway to Las Vegas to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. Since we’re not big into gambling, our daytime hours were spent mostly poolside at the fabulous Bellagio Pool.
Excited to wear my Lilly for Target kimono, but not wanting to flash my midsection in the casino on the way to the pool, here’s how I styled things up poolside.
Wearing this tank with denim shorts allowed me to comfortably make the long trek to the pool and later use my kimono as a cover up while poolside.
My Lilly kimono is sold out, so I rounded up a few other fringy options over at nordstrom.com
While looking for white kimono’s, I came across these two beautiful pieces at Nordstrom
and at Target
While at Target I spotted this fun number
along with this hat and bag to throw it all together!
I also tried these fun lace pants on, which were featured last week over at YummoMummo, on my pal Melissa.
For me they were a bit high waisted, the one piece suit covers the high waist up a bit, but with a bikini and my short waist these didn’t quite work for me.
They did however look fantastic on Melissa,
who put together a fantastic post this week on swimwear and cover-ups. You’ll want to check it out HERE and for Part 2 HERE (fresh of the press today) where she covers swimsuits for every body type! Ladies, she’s saving you time and frustration, take a look, I love her picks!
I think these pants are a great option for beautiful pear or hourglass shaped ladies and at $19.99 they are a steal!
If a drop waist is more your thing, this off white crochet pair has a lower rise.
This pair did work on me, but wasn’t available in my size to try on for you all.

Another easy poolside look is a tunic.
I featured these tunics this past Wednesday on the blog – found at H&M.
My favorite suit?
Hands down this number from Robin Piccone
Why? It just fits. My girlfriends who love 2-piece suits favor this style as well, so if you are on the hunt for a simple great fitting 2 piece, give this a try. The best part of this suit is the top. If the bottom doesn’t fit, mix it up with another bottom.
Like this skirted hipster from La Blanca.
I happen to love this bottom for the extra booty coverage.
A one piece more your thing?
Be sure to check out Melissa’s post HERE for options for all body types!
