I hope you are enjoying the holidays and carving out a little time to pause and celebrate the magic this season brings. Is it difficult to slow down? You bet. But sometimes all it takes is a break in the day; like pulling into your favorite coffee shop to re-group and prioritize your to-do’s over a Holiday Spice Latte. For some of us, an extra trip around the block with the dog is all it takes to get your groove back. In planning today’s post, I wanted to deliver something that would be helpful to you during this hectic time of the year. And based on what I’ve been hearing from my girlfriends, your search entries on my site, and a recent Facebook poll, it would appear that you are running out of outfit ideas and would like a bit of inspiration, to get you through the rest of season.
In the spirit of taking time out for ourselves, a few girlfriends and I had the pleasure of visiting Apres, a winter pop-up located in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley, earlier this week. Simulating a cozy mountainside retreat with mini-chalets, the winter pop-up at the Four Seasons Palo Alto features a nightly snowfall, fireside movies and decadent treats for the entire family to enjoy.
Open through January 5, 2020, you can learn more about Apres in my recent blog post on RickandSuzanneBell.com, Apres: A Winter Wonderland in Silicon Valley | (HERE).
That’s great you had a wonderful time Suzanne; sipping Moscow Mules while enjoying fondue and smores by the fire with your fabulous friends – but how does that help me with outfit ideas? I’ll tell you how. My girlfriends looked super cute at Apres this past week and they said I could share our photos with you all here on the blog! I hope by sharing the cozy looks we pulled together, you’ll find some inspiration to create a few fresh new looks – a jumpstart to your own outfit planning.
Meet My Girlfriends: (left to right), Monique, Kanesha, (me), and Michelle, with a look at what we wore this week. Inspired by the Alpine Theme of Apres, I opted for comfortable chic look, beginning with denim leggings, a ribbed turtleneck, booties and a banana bag in order to be hands-free. I topped it all off with a long faux fur vest and a statement pendant for a little bling.
Outfit Links? You’ll find links to what I’m wearing along with a selection of fabulous faux fur vests to browse at the bottom of today’s post.

Hi Suzanne, for some strange reason I couldn’t just log onto your blog and get updates, never mind, the minute I signed up to get updates everything new (for me) appeared! I love this post and I have to say it made me want Christmas in the Winter, that looked like great fun! You have also reminded me of a fake fur vest that I have in my Winter gear that now I want to break out! I won’t but will just keep thinking about it!
