Dreaming of being here now, I’m back from Vegas, where I spent the last few days with the hubby, celebrating his birthday. Living here in California, Las Vegas is a quick, easy, and economical trip for us – one I don’t have to think to hard about, and you’ll find me here a couple of times a year.
The weather was in the high 90’s, so I was poolside most of the time (I don’t gamble),
relaxing and buried in 2 books, at my favorite hotel, The Bellagio.
We had three nights of great food,

and took the opportunity to see Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson One, which was fantastic. Much different than other Cirque du Soleil shows, in a kinda eerie and loud sort of way – a wonderful tribute to Michael Jackson, and another Vegas winner.
Night or day, the fashion piece on this trip was (no surprise), the jumpsuit!
Where you used to see a maxi dress by day, the stylish gals were working their jumpsuits with flat sandals or flip flops – by night I saw it all. Lace, bright colors (I tried to snap a pic a gal wearing the most amazing orange jumpsuit, I think it was Trina Turk – stunning!), all black, black with cutouts, prints – you name it, the jumpsuit was having it’s moment here!
Luckily, I brought all 3 of mine – 2 black and one print. Honestly, it’s all I needed to pack.
I wore this snake print Ella Moss jumpsuit the first and last night, because it was so comfortable and easy.
I don’t have a photo of how I wore it on Day 1, but I styled it with a crop black jacket and gold/black sandals. By Day 2 and 3 my feet hurt from all the walking, so I wore my Paul Green black gladiator sandals.
The big bag I am wearing here, housed a pair of black flip flops – which came out later for walking the strip.
The second night, I wore a wide leg Young Fabulous and Broke jumpsuit, paired with Zadig et Voltaire jacket (see it here) – which came off right away, as the temps were high.
All my photos, from this particular evening, show my jacket as an accessory – behind or in front of me. I promise to show the jacket styled, in a future post!
During the day, when not at the pool, I wore my Joie strapless gauze jumpsuit,

with flat sandals – perfect in the Vegas heat!
I know some of you may still be wary of the jumpsuit trend. Here’s my two-cents. Think of it as a maxi dress with legs. Go with a silhouette that you would normally select in a dress – for the best fit. Then, pair it with flats, block heels, wedges or heels. Add a blazer for extra polish. Accessorize with jewelry, and off you go!
And here’s a few I’m loving right now:
For me, jumpsuits are my new maxi dress, how about you?
Anyone else loving jumpsuits right now?
Have you found a favorite that you’d like to share?
How do you style your jumpsuit? Do you wear them day or night – or both?
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
XOXO
