If your style inspiration has been feeling a little… beige lately, you’re not alone.
A few weeks ago, I wrote When Fashion Lost Its Personality, and judging by your messages, we’re all feeling it. The endless scroll. The same outfits. The same trends styled the same way by different people.

Somewhere along the way, fashion started feeling more like content than creativity.
Suzanne Bell
That post sparked so many thoughtful conversations, and it also sent me paying closer attention to where I was actually feeling inspired. So instead of scrolling harder, I started looking elsewhere.
Today I’m sharing a few content creators who are genuinely inspiring me right now—the ones reminding me that style can still feel playful, personal, and fun to watch. Scroll to the end of today’s post for a few shopping links of what’s caught my eye this week, plus my favorite outfit from this week, featuring barrel jeans—all available as a look-for-less at Quince.
Where I’m Finding Real Style Inspiration Right Now
YouTube (and Beyond)
Beth Jones
If Beth doesn’t eventually have her own reality show, it will be a missed opportunity—because I would absolutely watch it.
Beth is the ultimate thrifter, based somewhere in the LA area, and she takes us along as she intentionally treasure hunts at thrift stores like Savers. She tries things on right there in the aisles, narrating her thought process, then brings everything home to her “dress-up closet,” where the real magic happens.
Her style is far more adventurous than mine—but I’m always inspired. Watching her play, experiment, and put unexpected pieces together is just plain fun. For those of you on INDYX, Beth (like me) has an open closet, where paid users can browse outfits she’s created from her own wardrobe and save ideas for future inspiration.
You can find her on Instagram, Substack, and YouTube at @BJonesStyle.
Alyssa Beltempo
Alyssa is a personal stylist whose content blends style, sustainability, and all things Italian. Based in Canada, she travels to Italy multiple times a year and films beautifully thoughtful videos about Italian culture, what she’s wearing, and how she packs (truly some of the best packing tips out there).
I adore her elegant, wearable style and her grounded approach to sustainability. Everything feels intentional, calm, and inspiring—never preachy. You’ll find her at @AlyssaBeltempo, and she’s a long-time favorite for a reason.
Alberta Rose
If you’re looking for someone down-to-earth and unedited in the best possible way, Alberta is your girl.
Creative, funny, and refreshingly real, I love seeing how she puts outfits together. Her style is very different from mine—but that’s exactly why I enjoy watching her. I always walk away with new ideas, and she genuinely makes me laugh. You can find her at @AlbertaRoseStyle.
Trinny
I’ve been a Trinny fan for a long time, and despite how popular she’s become, her content still feels real, inspiring, and not overly glossy.
Yes, she’s a business owner—but she doesn’t overwhelm her videos with product pushing the way so many others do these days. She remains approachable, honest, and genuinely fun, which is not easy to maintain at that scale. You’ll find her at @TrinnyLondon, and she’s still a joy to watch.
Substack
I’m intentional about who I follow on Substack—I don’t want my feed so jammed that I miss the voices I truly want to read. That said, there are a few creators I’ve been really enjoying lately:
Hey Mrs. Solomon on Style | @heymrssolomon (here)
Fun, creative, and refreshing—her take on looking fabulous in midlife is smart and playful. A new Substack for me, her recent style session with Kelly Klein made my session on the treadmill this week, fly by! You can watch it here.
Kelly Klein | @KellyKlein007 (HERE)
A stylist who shares genuinely helpful tips and ideas that encourage you to try new things with what you already own. Similar vibe to another favorite of mine, Allison Bornstein.
Letters from Tuscany | @JulesKitchen (Here)
Giulia is a Tuscan food writer, cookbook author, and cooking instructor. If you love Italy, food, and that dreamy Tuscan lifestyle, you’ll want to follow her at @Julskitchen.
Fit Happens, @fithappens (here)
“Style lab for outfit overthinkers. Fit Happens gives you the tools—formulas, how-tos, and frameworks—to dress with less stress and more intention.” – Asta/Aastha
INDYX — Real Closets, Real Style
And finally—INDYX. As you know, I love my digital closet, and with how much I talk about INDYX here, you’d think they were paying me (they’re not—I just genuinely love the app).
Two of my favorite features on the paid version are the ability to browse other subscribers’ closets and the Slack group, where real conversations about real style questions happen. It’s not glossy or performative—it’s thoughtful, supportive, and fun. Some of my best outfit ideas come from seeing how real women style the pieces they already own.

Stay Connected for More Style Inspiration
If personal style matters more to you than trends, you’ll probably enjoy following me on LTK. It’s where I share daily outfit ideas, quiet styling notes, new finds, and thoughtful shopping links – like these, new-in, cropped no-waist barrel pants from COS or the Lemon Twist Wide Leg jean from Mother Denim — in the moment as I discover them, before making it to the blog. Most of what I post there never makes it to Instagram or Facebook, so if you love my outfits and links, that’s truly where you’ll find me most consistently.

An example of the type of daily content you will find on my LTK. Outfit ideas, plus shopping links, all in one spot – as I create them. PRESS HERE for my entire outfit, duped, over at Quince | HERE for the $30 Dickey insert, in 3 colors.

J Crew New Arrivals, including the 2025 Roll Neck sweater in endless colors and combinations.
A peek at what I shopped this past month
I do still post on Instagram occasionally, but it’s become a less predictable place for consistent content. Much of what I used to share there now lives on LTK, where I can show up regularly and connect in a way that feels more intentional. And of course, you can also find me on Pinterest, where I share style boards, outfit ideas, and seasonal inspiration.
Now I’d love to hear from you:
Where are you finding inspiration these days? Are there creators, platforms, or newsletters that still feel fresh, original, and personal?
Please share in the comments—we’d all love to discover more places where style still feels like style, not just content.
